Jupiter, Eris and Solar Stuff ~ 28 February 2011

Mars rapidly approaches the point in his orbit where he moves as fast as he can. Following suit, hurry and visit my site and check out the store. Buy the new DVD. Order reports. Book readings.

With Mars in little more than a week at perihelion, as well as all the other planet-perihelion stimulations (refer to the last GT archived on my website), it’s time to review what’s up with the Sun. Solar eruptions have officially commenced and appear with increasing regularity and should continue to do so as we approach Solar Maximum, the peak point of solar activity.

The previous peak of solar activity appeared mid-2000 and provided us with a bonus, double hump that lasted well into 2001. The next expected peak should be midyear as the cycle consistently runs 11.08 years. The key point, the next solar max, though a little late waking up, should appear later this year. It is not a function of anything 2012. Put away the bomb shelter chocolate supplies and relax. Try to enjoy the titillation of the extra rich solar vibes... at least until next year.

In 1947 a researcher for RCA, John Nelson, studied solar disturbances atop a Manhattan skyscraper. His astonishing conclusion: any planet’s transit to its own or any other planet’s perihelion or node by conjunction, opposition or squares agitates solar activity and causes disruptions in radio propagation. Nelson’s work suggested these effects reached out to a ten-degree orb of influence. Unwittingly, he became a patron saint for the validity of astrology. One should note that the influences Nelson studied were heliocentric patterns.

As noted in the last GT, multiple contacts to planetary perihelia lie just around the calendric corner. We should expect then, that the Sun prepares to shower us with bursts of energy in multiple frequencies that will impact earth, stimulate the upper atmosphere, shift weather patterns and possibly muck with satellites, cell phones and our wildly enhanced wireless age. Not only does the energy impact electronic stuff; people and their auric body systems are affected, too. Sensitive folks feel both the eruptions on the Sun as they occur, then the impact upon the Earth. Regardless of sensitivity pretty much everyone feels the impact of the multifrequency, highly enriched solar vibes when they impact Earth.

These energies give the feeling of being all dressed up and nowhere to go. The body feels energized, as the brain funks out; or the brain runs rampant with stimulation and the body drags behind. Good old fashioned connecting with nature does wonders. Sit on the ground, feel the energy and connect with good ole planet Earth, using our home base as a grounding rod. Grounding permits synchronization between body and brain and works to make something good out of the extra-rich energetic atmosphere.

Even with a good use of solar emanations, people see to be charged. Since Jupiter entered Aries and joined by sign the unfortunately overlooked dwarf planet, Eris, we’ve seen uprisings in Tunisia, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Morocco and other middle eastern countries and very notably in Egypt. In the United States, state workers, teachers, fire fighters and police have risen up against Wisconsin and Ohio governors with massive protests. In these states the governors seek to cut jobs, pensions and eliminate unions. Some of the anti-union effort indirectly is supported by the billionaire Koch brothers - clearly no relation to the namesake of the astrological house system, but establishing a theme of greed (the North Node of Eris is in Taurus).

Is all this unprecedented? Jupiter and Eris now travel through Aries for the first time since the discovery of Eris. Everyone alive, since last November has had or will have a transit of Jupiter to Eris for the first time since our conscious awareness of Eris.

Jupiter and Eris have a cooperative relationship. Long ago, Jupiter was displeased with the ruler of Mycenae. So he summoned Mercury to approach the leader of the land and ask if he would relinquish his throne if the Sun and Moon rose in the west. The ruler, forgetting the messenger was the inveterate trickster, quickly agreed. Then, Jupiter dispatched Eris, the goddess of discord, for a hand. Together, they reversed the motion of the heavens for but one day so the stars, Moon and Sun rose in the west and the Pleiades wept (and that’s why that asterism holds the reputation as weeping sisters/brothers). Bottom line: Jupiter and Eris aligned energies to correct a political wrong and to reverse courses that did not agree with Jupiter’s aspirations. Again, soon everyone enjoys an upcoming alignment of Jupiter and Eris present day - for the first time since we’ve held Eris in our consciousness.

Here’s a Jupiter to natal Eris kluge for now until their upcoming conjunction.

March 1st Jupiter transits the natal Eris of those born in 1951

March 15th Jupiter transits the natal Eris of those born in 1964

April 1st Jupiter transits the natal Eris of those born in 1984 - 1985

April 15th Jupiter transits the natal Eris of those born in 1994

And on April 29th Jupiter and Eris align at 21 Aries 59, with Mars at 21 Aries 13.

If you are not interested in a brief historical summary of Jupiter-Eris effects and if you want to skip to more personal information, scroll down to the >>>>> marker below.

The last time Jupiter trail-blazed Aries and joined the yet unknown Eris was 1999 - 2000. By the time the controversial election of George Bush happened, Jupiter had moved into Gemini, so Jupiter wasn’t a factor in this Aries context. In 1999 we witnessed the Global Protest Against Capitalism and significant protests at the World Trade Organization’s conference in Seattle. These events both support the Erissian north node in Taurus.

Back in 1987, Jupiter and Eris also tracked Aries in a tandem effort. The year before with Jupiter in Aquarius and Pisces, we witnessed notable political upheaval. In 1986 there was the continuation of the development of political change in South Africa, the overthrow of Baby Doc in Haiti and the Marcos regime collapse in the Philippines and the U. S. bombing of Libya. Early in 1986, Jupiter and several planets in Aquarius joined up with Comet Halley’s perihelion degree, creating a potent stellium, stirring the intrinsic humanism of Aquarius. If one plots the moment of Comet Halley’s perihelion on the world using astrocartographic techniques, each of those world locations lie under significant planet lines - either the Aquarian stellium, or the Mars-Saturn alignment in Sagittarius.

According to this mapping technique, the horizon crossing points of Mars-Jupiter-Eris occur in southern Algeria and in the middle of the Pacific between Fiji and Tonga. The MC lines impact a corridor in the Midwestern states of the U. S., notably including Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida’s panhandle. Further south Guatemala and El Salvador lie under the MC lines for the trio. The IC lines cut through Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and directly above into China. Geographic hot spots for the Mars-Jupiter-Eris? We’ll see.

But back to the Jupiter-Eris connection in 1987 when protests were mounted in Ecuador and Sudan in reaction to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank’s structural adjustment programs. These certainly restate Eris’ North Node theme of Taurus. Eris despises exclusion and economic caste systems offend her sensibilities as much as social snubs.

Dropping back another twelve years we see 1975 and the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam war, more protests against the IMF and other protest marches on Working Women’s Day. Back once more cycle, in 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated with Jupiter in Aries. Early in 1963, just as Jupiter entered Aries, protests in Birmingham, Alabama escalated, marking a critical point in the civil rights fight in the United States. Worth noting, Jupiter’s perihelion is in Aries and the perihelion of Eris is in Libra, emphasizing matters of individual rights and social equality.

We could go back again and again seeing effects of Jupiter and Eris each time the conjunction occurred. Is it stronger this time? Perhaps it is. Certainly more nations seem affected than in recent years. With the virus-like spread of liberation efforts in the Middle East it’s as if Eris is finally getting her way. Here in the United States, what started in Wisconsin spread to Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Georgia and the trend continues to grow. Eris objects to the exclusion of people from economic rights and political processes that ultimately create social standing.

Does this add fodder to the contention that humankind responds more strongly to planets once they are collectively known? Perhaps. Has there ever been this much simultaneous, widespread effort to write societal, political and economic wrongs? If there was, I don’t remember it. Maybe it’s a matter of Mars being part of the Jupiter-Eris conjunction this time. In mythological lore, Eris and Ares (Aries, sign of these transits and sign that Mars rules) were constant companions in creating the mayhem Eris loved. Adding to Mars-Jupiter-Eris in April and May the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus pack in quite the stellium. All this appears in the pioneering, forging ahead, impulsive, hair triggered, gotta get there, bold, innocently courageous sign of Aries. A contagious, contentious time ahead? Perhaps. More, it can mark the staring of a reversal of the heavens such that alignment occurs with the boldest and grandest desires of Jupiter. By Jove, let’s hope so.

>>>>> Enough history and geopolitical speculation. Readers may be growing impatient with background discourse with Jupiter in Aries. Let’s bring it home (Jupiter’s North Node resides in Cancer). What about me and what I’m doing? With all this solar emanation to boot, the itchiness likely multiplies. Okay fine, here it is:

You’ve either recently experienced or soon shall, an exact conjunction of Jupiter to your natal Eris for the first time since we’ve known about Eris. This is a revolutionary influence. It could be a game changer. Consider that Jupiter and Eris halted and reversed the rotation of Earth for one day, evidently altering the revolution of the sphere of space. Can you do that? Can you put your life on hold, long enough to reverse your perspective as if motion was reversed and create a new evolving order for your life? Can you create a new view of life that includes you in all the activities that further the urges of your soul?

Eris, by perihelion and node, offers themes from Libra and Taurus. Break your additions to social status (get off the damn social networking places unless organizing a humanity-based, world-evolving cause or revolution against a political dictator or economic tyranny) and economic strata. Set your own standards for what makes your soul content being in a body and walking about on planet Earth. Jupiter in Aries on his perihelion (March 17th) and the perihelion of Makemake marks an interval in which a strong and specific sense of self declaration that seeks to promote every talent, skill set, idea or creative morsel a person owns, sifts into ones consciousness. Jupiter to these perihelion points reminds everyone that creativity and talent cannot be foreclosed no matter how bad the markets run.

One potential element on the economic side of the combined planet profile is that of consumerism. Must you buy what everyone else has, or do you buy what you need and what serves your aspirations? Product packaging is an issue, especially for Makemake’s environmental concerns. Why waste resources and package products in virtually impenetrable plastic that has a person so pissed by the time they get to the product they want to throw it against the wall to represent Aries, thus ignoring the Taurus node of Eris and how much the dang thing cost. Why buy that stuff, especially if that stuff fails to serve your evolutionary aspirations?

Will your personal revolution...

Free you from the urge to infiltrate status circles that won’t have you or serve no dharmic purpose to your incarnation?

Determine a strong sense of personal individuality and belonging?

Eliminate lemming and sheep herd-like mentalities?

Offer discerning consumer criteria and inspire a crisp sense of global resources, population and a reality check of the presumed need for unending growth in economic thinking?

Allow the elimination of activities that waste time, like posting nonsense or playing another game of Black Ops, Farmville or Angry Bird and contribute to a lack of productivity and thus contribute to global economic woes?

Set agendas that create a sense of home on this planet, invigorate the soul and recreate a sense of innocent wonder about what may come?

Inspire your will to reverse the course of every element in your life that fails to meet up with Jupiter’s greatest expectations?

Locate a pure, innocent, crisp soul urge that stokes the personal furnace of transformation?

Declare with Jupiter and Eris in Aries that there shall be no more circumlocution, circumnavigation, circumnotquitesomuchlikeevolution. Plot a direct life course and get underway. Enjoy the ride your life was meant to be.

Be your own revolutionary. At all costs, avoid being revolting.

Remember, Mars nears his maximum sense of urgency. Hurry!
